My wonderful grandma Corbett passed away a few weeks ago and we had the opportunity to go home for the funeral. It was beautiful. My grandma was an amazing women! She served a mission, had a green thumb for gardens and oh yes she loved her Mountain Dew! She was great at geneology. she had everything so put together she had her biography all written herself! She was a awesome grandma and we will miss her and we love her so much!!

A Short Weekend but well deserved. We just enjoyed spending time with family and getting to see our nephew Weston for the first time! When we went home we just went until we couldn't drive anymore which was Mesquite. We partied and gambled all................ just kidding we hit the Sack!! So tired and we still had to drive tomorrow. It was a good hotel and we even got free breakfast at the restaurant in the casino :)

So on the second day we had time to spare so we decided to go down the strip. LOOK what we found!

Pawn stars!! So we thought lets go in......just to let you know just cause it says

open 24/7 doesn't mean it is! We were there at 8 in the morning and they don't open till 9 for the showcase room! Well we didn't have anything else to do so we took a few pics and decided to go. What a bummer i was really excited! We watch it on t.v all the time! Hey I saw Chumlee through the window :)A cool random pic I took when driving. I just liked the cowboy and his horse!
This trip was like a teaser for Christmas. I'm so glad we only have 3 weeks now till Christmas!

My Kind of Rodeo

This weekend Aug. 13 we got to go to Prescott AZ and go to The Worlds Oldest Rodeo (so they say). So we used our handy dandy GPS which took us the shortest distance through town but we ended up taking all these little roads and going left right left. I was afraid we were lost .......but at last our GPS got us there. Oh did I mention our GPS hasn't been updated since we have had it :) Come to find out all we had to do was go straight down the highway make one right turn and there it was right down the road :)
The sign going into the rodeo.
This is for all you single ladies out there. This is the line up of the bull riders.
Me and the hubby!
OK a little blurry but pretty good shot for a phone camera. This is one of the guys that won. Weirdly enough it was a tie. I called for a tie breaker but i guess not. and guess what a guy from Idaho Falls, ID came in second. That is right the Idaho boy getting it done!
It was so fun! I felt like I was home. The weather was so much cooler and we enjoyed every minute of it!
This was as close as I got to the Bulls. There was one that was named Goliath and did his name fit him well he was HUGE! I wish I could have got a pic.

The bull riding was so fun and super nice to get away and go somewhere especially cause it was about 20 degrees cooler and more of my kind of scenery.

Date Nights

Between school and work we barely find time to go on a date night. So when Jordan had a night off from school we took it! We went to Mellow Mushroom which is a pizza place. Way good! Then we went over to Dippin Dots. We have tons of things to do over here and picked a good spot to live. I love our date night!
Luckily on that same night they had a car show down the street of the outside mall. Jordan loved it and told me to take pics. Its amazing the work people put into these vehicles. Jordan liked this one the most.
This was my favorite! Of coarse purple!

Glitter Glow Stars

I Forgot to put these on at Christmas. they were pretty good. Thought you'd enjoy it.

B-day and the Zoo

23 years old.......and I don't feel any different. But thanks for the b-day wishes. Look what my hubby got for me. You know the day before I was craving ice cream! He is such a mind reader. Also for my b-day we decided to go to the Phoenix Zoo which is really big by the way. It was way fun!
Never seen a koala bear before. He was cute!
So in the middle of the Zoo they had a farm! it had all these cows, horses, chickens and more. I felt like I was home :)
Some of the worlds largest Iguanas. they were bigger than Tootsie!
And this turtle was huge and over 100 years old!!
You could also feed the giraffes but the line was to long. We enjoyed from a distance. Did you know they have blue tongues?
the King of the jungle
Rhinos! never seen one of those before either. super cool!
Look its the monkey off of The Lion King!
I recommend the Phoenix Zoo. We had a blast. I even got a sun tan! :)

A Night At The Glitter Glow!

At the end of christmas in Glendale downtown they light up 16 blocks of trees and buildings. they have venders, rides and Cotton Candy!! We went with Jordans two brothers and their families. It was such a blast.!!They also had about 25 to 50 hot air balloons all over the streets. They had such cool ones. This polar bear was like the size of 2 hot air balloons!

Spiderman!!!

Looking down one of the streets with all the lights and decor.

Ill tell ya though..... the food was not as good as the Eastern Idaho State Fair! but good enough.

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!!

We got a much needed break and was able to come back home for xmas. we rode with Jordans brother Brad and Kacey. On our way their we drove all the way in one day. 14 hours to be exact. our only problem was Utah. the roads were so bad with pot holes, and yes we got a flat tire along with 20 other people that were pulled off to the side of the road! Hate Utah roads!! but we left at 4:30 am and got there around 9:30 pm. not bad.
On Christmas eve we all did skits. hence the reason for everyone taking pics at us. I thought I would take one back. Jordan and I just sang a song......which involved everyone else singing too! We also opened up our xmas pjs. which we get every year. Jordan got Reeses pjs and I got minnie mouse.
christmas morning was great and was so much fun being around family!

My fam hanging out on xmas! Tasha came from Moscow for a couple of weeks.
Dont ask!! :) I just thought it would be funny to add this one!
Dad!! just chillin

On the way back we stopped at St. George and stayed the night at Brads mission presidents home. The Wilkinsons were great and so nice. before we left we stopped to see the Temple. So Pretty!! No flats on the way home though. it was easier to split the ride up into two days.
We had such a fun time. We went to dinner with my parents and played card games with everyone. We also went snowmobiling and sledding, which was a blast! It was a much deserved vaca. But happy to be home too! So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!!!!!
